Restarting an AquaSense SV1 or AquaFlow SV2 Smart Valve with a Magnet Swipe
This article explains the process for stating up or rebooting an AquaSense SV1 or AquaFlow SV2 Smart Valve with a magnet swipe.
Overview
A magnet of moderate strength will be needed to perform this function. The AquaSense SV1 or AquaFlow SV2 Smart Valves are equipped with an internal magnetic switch, specifically called a "Reed Switch", that will detect the presence of a magnet placed on a specific external point of the case. Detection of this external magnet will either start the device from an "off" state, or restart a device that is already running.
Process
- Apply a magnet to the unit on the side opposite of the antenna cable for 3 seconds in order to power the device. You may also see a blue dot at the magnet location.
- If the location is dark enough, once restarted, you should see a light flashing through the lid at the cable side of case. This indicates that the device is powered. If you are unable to see the light to confirm, complete the following steps.
- To confirm a successful restart, open the Aquana mobile app and login using your Aquana user account credentials.
- Go to “Valve Control” by tapping on “Valve Control” in the main menu.
- Tap on (Select Valve) and select the valve you just restarted.
- Select "Bluetooth" under Choose How to Connect
- Tap "Next"
- If all has gone well, the app will connect to the valve. A position change should be performed to confirm valve function. And a Check Network Connection can be performed to validate network communication. Be sure to leave the valve in the proper position when done.
