How to install the Aquana TTL External Antenna
This is a step-by-step instruction set for how to install the Aquana TTL External Antenna
- If you’re installing the SV2 inside a meter pit requiring IP68 compliance, you’ll use the Aquana through-the-lid external antenna.
- A standard 1 ⅞” diameter hole is required if you are installing through the lid.
- There are 4 parts to the antenna assembly which include: 1) antenna & cable assembly (~ 5’ length included), 2) threaded cap, 3) brass plate, and 4) threaded nut, which arrive fully assembled.
- The key factors for installation are:
- This antenna can only be installed through or under polymer lids. Cast iron lids are not supported at this time.
- The brass plate provides additional RF performance and must be located directly underneath the cap.
- First disconnect the antenna cable from the SV2 if it is currently connected.
- We recommend unthreading the nut, and installing the antenna from the top of the lid.
- Once the cap, plate, and assembly are in place, rethread the nut and secure the assembly in place.
- Reconnect the antenna cable to the SV2 antenna receptacle. The finished assembly looks like this:
- We recommend that execute the “Check Network Connection” function using Aquana Mobile again after installation to ensure a reliable connection to the cellular network.
