How to configure Constant Flow (Leak) and High Flow (Burst) settings for an AquaSense SV1 or AquaFlow SV2 Smart Valve using Aquana Mobile

Introduction

Constant (Leak) and High (Burst) Flow detection settings are managed at the device level.  These algorithms run on the Smart Valve itself, at every Meter Read Interval.  

General Information:

1. A water meter must be connected and activated to the Smart Valve in order for the algorithms to detect the condition.  The meter can be either a pulse meter or an encoded output "smart" meter. 
2. A Constant Flow condition means that at every meter read interval over a configured duration of time, usage has been measured.  Ex. Over a 24 hour period, the valve has measured usage at every 15 minute meter read interval.
3. A High Flow (Burst) condition means that a volume of water use has been met or exceeded over a configured duration of time.   Ex.  100 gallons in 30 minutes.

When an alert condition is detected, the valve can:

1. Auto Check-In the condition to report it to AquaControl.  AquaControl Rules then send notifications to selected Users.  
2. Auto Close the valve.  The valve can be configured to auto-close upon detection. 

How to View & Configure the Settings

1. Valve Control - the user must navigate to the Valve Control screen and select the Location that contains the Water Meter they wish to configure.

2. The user can connect via Cloud or Bluetooth.  When connecting via Cloud, the settings will be applied at the next regular check-in interval.  When connected via Bluetooth, the settings will be applied immediately.  
3. Once connected to the Valve, tap on the Configure tab, then tap on the gear icon next to the meter.  
4. The User will see the "Configure your Meter" screen.  Scroll down to view:
   1. Leak / Constant Flow Protection settings
   2. Burst / High Flow Protection settings

1. To configure new values, overwrite the current settings and tab Update Configuration at the bottom of the screen.  
2. Leak / Constant Flow
   1. The settings that can be configured include:
      1. Leak / Constant Flow Detection - choose whether to use the Aquana On-valve duration threshold or the Smart Meter based alarm threshold if supported.
      2. Duration of constant flow - enter a duration in minutes  e.g. 1440min = 24hrs
      3. Automatic Check-in - this can be enabled or disabled 
      4. Automatic Shutoff - this can be enabled or disabled
3. Burst / High Flow
   1. The settings that can be configured include:
      1. Burst / High Flow Detection - choose whether to use the Aquana On-valve duration threshold or the Smart Meter based alarm threshold if supported.
      2. Amount of flow - enter an amount of flow in gallons (or the configured meter unit of measure chosen)  e.g. 100 gallons (cubic meters, liters, etc..)
      3. Duration of flow - enter the duration that the algorithm is sampling in minutes.  e.g. 100 gallons in 30 minutes. 
      4. Automatic Check-in - this can be enabled or disabled 
      5. Automatic Shutoff - this can be enabled or disabled
