Change the Valve position using AquaControl Web (single valve only)

These instructions will show you how to change the position of an individual valve to OPEN, CLOSED, or REDUCED using the AquaControl Web App.

  1. Log in to the AquaControl Web App using the email and password that were created for your account.
  2. Click the Location Selector button at the left end of the silver navigation bar.  This will bring up a list of all Locations within your Platform Account.
  3. Click on the Location name for the desired valve.  This will bring you to the Location Dashboard with information about the devices that are installed in that location.
  4. Scroll down to the Devices in this Location section of the page.  Click on the picture of the desired Aquana Smart Valve in this location.
  5. This brings you to the Device Details page containing specific information about the valve.
  6. Click the Valve Control button at the top left corner of the page.
  7. This brings up the Valve Control dialog box which shows the current position of the valve on the left, and provides a drop-down menu of other positions on the right.
  8. Select the new desired valve position from the drop-down.
  9. Choose when you want to send the command, by default the command is scheduled for the next regular check-in time.
  10. You can also schedule it for a future day and time.
  11. If you are using Cellular LTE-M models for payment enforcement, you can enable the Check-in Boost mode, by clicking on the checkbox in the lower left.   Remember that this feature is typically sent to the device with a Close command in order to more rapidly respond to Open commands after payment has been made.
  12. Once you are ready to submit the command, click the Create Command button.  A command will be created to activate the valve to the new desired position.
  13. The Pending command badge will appear at the top of the Device Details screen and on the Device Card.  While the command is pending, you can cancel it by clicking "cancel command".
  14. The pending command will also be present in the Activity > Commands log.
  15. When the command is successfully sent the badge will change to "Command sent".
  16. When the command is completed and the valve responds to AquaControl, the badge will disappear and the Completed Command alert will be displayed in Activity > Alerts.
